Growing up I was completely immersed in musical theatre, thanks to my mother who would play me all her favorite musicals: from Rodgers and Hammerstein's "South Pacific" to Disney's musical "The Lion King."
I first realized my love for the stage when I sang the "National Anthem" in my fourth grade talent show. I felt comfortable on stage and singing came naturally to me. Shortly after, I dove into theatre when I was cast as Tessie in a community theatre company's production of "Annie." I was one of the seven main orphans and got a solo in the famous number "You're Never Fully Dressed without a Smile."
I continued to be in productions throughout middle school and high school. During my senior year of high school, I became a member of the Varsity Acting Class, where we studied complex acting methods, such as Stanislavski's method of emotional memory and Stanford Meisner's "The Reality of Doing."
